Over the years, I can’t believe the number of times I’ve said ‘if only we could win these next two home matches’. Trouble is it rarely happens at Notts.
We’re missing Dennis I’m afraid. They’re suggesting on the radio that Thomas could be the answer but he misses too many chances in my book.

DKE...not sure he's ever going to be good enough for league football. Chicksen is not the player we were led to believe we were getting. McCrory...where is he? Unfit and probably done. Thomas...meh.

I'm going to try not to get stressed about it though. Ardley will be gone in June and hopefully the Danes will get somebody in who knows what he's doing.

Your right.. Wootton needs a rest. We seem to want to play Sam as a winger when he looks to be a ready made sub for Wootton..Not slagging Wootton as he has been great, but think he may benefit from a break too. The Doyle , Obrien & Reeves has been well documented many times. all we have done is change Rose for Reeves.

12 games played.
Game 12 of the Munto season was the home draw with Torquay United, after which McP was sacked. We're 1 point behind that season now.
As for the Allardyce campaign, one more defeat and we will have lost as many as that team did all season.

No need to panic if you're happy with play offs but after last season there cant be too many who would be confident that we would emerge as the winners at Wembley. This time we would almost certainly have the bulk of the support in the stands, if we made it to the final.

Not sure it's fair to compare with McParland. He was always a dead man walking that season.

Tonight I blame Ardley for being too worried about the opposition and not having confidence in his own system - should never have changed it and certainly not play Doyle, Reeves and O'Brien together. He also should have thrown Knowles on at the end - can't see the point in having 3 substitutes and not using them when you are losing.

The players are not without blame either - simply got to take at least 1 of the chances in the first half. We pressed in the second half and had a lot of possession but that too bad to be converted to goals.

We need Thomas back and Wootton to find some form - yes he has got 6 goals but I don't think he's been leading the line well or holding up the ball. Roberts too would be helpful!
