You confuse by referring to a wave of deaths when it’s the wave of infections to which the term second wave relates.
See post 1435 which shows a second wave ending and a third wave starting.

    Regarding ICU

A study on 10,287 patients over six months from England, Wales and Northern Ireland admitted to intensive care after falling critically unwell with Covid between February and July.

By the time the study concluded, 3,887 (40 per cent) had died, and 1,725 (18 per cent) were still in ICU.
Some 978 (10 per cent) had been discharged from ICU but were still in hospital, and 3,003 (40 per cent) had been sent to a non-acute setting, where they were assumed to have lived on.
The researchers calculated that the average 28-day mortality rate dropped by 9.5 per cent over the study.
They believe medics grew better at treating Covid-19 patients during that time, boosting survival rates.

There really is no need to carry on with this thread, Boris says the virus will be gone by Easter.

Are you making this up as you go along OC, or possibly getting this nonsense from desperate journos at the Grauniad or BBC ?

The increased number of 'infections' is an artefact of an increased number of tests. There cannot be a 2nd Wave of infections because there was no 1st wave to compare it to, as there was so little testing being done back in April and May. The 1st Wave of Covid 19 is always referenced by the number of deaths, a predicted 2nd Wave was always referring to another surge in the number of deaths. I can't believe I'm having to explain this to you OC, you sure you're not just taking the piss ?

    From the BMJ,

    "Second wave predictions

The Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) produced a now-leaked report outlining the second wave worst case scenario for the government on 30 July. The document, published by the Spectator,3 said that there could be 85 000 deaths across the UK between 1 July 2020 and 31 March 2021, with daily deaths exceeding 500 for at least 90 days."

Perhaps you should get in touch with SAGE and the British Medical Association and tell them they've got it wrong ? I could put up many more links showing the predicted 2nd Wave was a wave of deaths, but I don't see why I should waste my time, do you ?

"The CDC has produced a document documenting the side effects of the mRNA Covid vaccines. Infrequent cases of anaphylaxis (a severe allergic reaction) have been reported already. However, a more interesting figure is to be found further down in the presentation, in a table entitled “V-Safe Active Surveillance for COVID-19 Vaccines”.
Out of the 112,807 doses administered, 3,150 experienced a “Health Impact Event”, described above by the CDC as “unable to perform normal daily activities, unable to work, required care from doctor or health care professional”. That’s about 2.8% of recipients, although it does not mention the severity or duration of those events. If the UK Government’s declared target of vaccinating approximately 25 million people in “priority groups” is met, and the proportion remains stable, that could mean around 700,000 people potentially requiring some kind of medical care post-vaccination.
Isn’t mass vaccination supposed to protect the NHS?"

    I can wait.

    Lol Sinkov
Yes why are you wasting time and spreading a another wave of falsehoods based on your own science?

Deaths must come from the infectious disease

Here’s the WHO 6 phases of a pandemic.
No mention of death just disease

    https://www.euro.who.int/en/health-t...andemic-phases

During the post-peak period, pandemic disease levels in most countries with adequate surveillance will have dropped below peak observed levels. The post-peak period signifies that pandemic activity appears to be decreasing; however, it is uncertain if additional waves will occur and countries will need to be prepared for a second wave.

Previous pandemics have been characterized by waves of activity spread over months. Once the level of disease activity drops, a critical communications task will be to balance this information with the possibility of another wave. Pandemic waves can be separated by months and an immediate “at-ease” signal may be premature.

    Touché again lol

    Ops, just saying like .......

Medical professional received 5 to 6 doses of COVID vaccine in one shot.

    https://www.jpost.com/israel-news/me...ne-shot-652871

A Maccabi Healthcare Services medical professional received five or six doses of the corona virus vaccine in one inoculation Monday morning in Tel Aviv, the Health Maintenance Organisation announced Tuesday. He was hospitalised for monitoring, and after it was confirmed that he was unharmed, he was discharged the same day.

Tests conducted by Pfizer, the maker of the vaccine, indicate there are no negative consequences of receiving up to five doses, except for side effects at the site of the injection, Maccabi said. The medical professional did not experience any side effects, apart from slight sensitivity at the site of the injection, it said.

In general, people are supposed to receive one dose of the vaccine and then another dose 21 days later. The healthcare worker received an entire undiluted bottle of the vaccine in one shot.

    You’re rumbled Sinkov you contrarian

    You’re reading and quoting
    https://lockdownsceptics.org/2020/12...test-news-231/

Now who is behind this distortion of facts? Can you tell us because they don’t say on their website. Is it Vladimir - you don’t know I guess.

The Guardian in May featured The 'lockdown sceptics' want a culture war, with experts as the enemy by Peter Geoghegan and Mary Fitzgerald
    They say
The dismissal of coronavirus expertise, the pitting of ‘elites’ against ‘the people’ – it’s Brexit all over again for the high-profile contrarians

It concludes the “lockdown sceptics” are hoping to win a narrative battle, to shape what comes next. Britain’s success – such as it is – in curtailing deaths will be adduced as proof that the lockdown restrictions were unnecessary. The experts cannot be trusted. The cure was worse than the disease.

Carl Sagan would take one look at these contemporary sceptics and declare “baloney”. It is high time we did likewise.

If you read the actual site of this report
    https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/acip/me...OVID-CLARK.pdf

It says so far there have been 6 THATS JUST SIX reports of anaphylaxis.

You’re own take says- it does not mention the severity or duration of those health impact events, - nor does it mention their nature. Going to the pharmacist for painkillers would meet that definition.

BACK TO YOUR SCAREMONGERING BALONEY WEBSITE - WE CAN SEE YOUR MOTIVES NOW

    PUTIN LOVES YOU
