The Rotherham game being on is out of our hands and nothing to do with principles. We have to follow the rules as much as Rotherham do. Principles has nothing to do with it. Saying Barnsley should show some principles and ask for the game to be called off is wrong. Other teams are in the same boat and having to play do you think they'll be saying Barnsley should show some principles and get the game postponed or will they be saying Barnsley should stick to their principles, obey the rules and play the game, like we have to?
People enjoying watching the game if it goes ahead has nothing to do with principles either. Saying enjoy the game lads and hinting that principles are dead if you do, is ludicrous.
I agree that there's no excuse for breaking Covid rules but to say that you can't forgive someone for making that mistake and giving them a second chance seems a bit harsh. If that's the case and it's against your principles then how far do you go? Do you not go to a match, once we can, until he's no longer the manager? Even then do you still not go till the owners, who gave him a second chance and employed him, leave too?
