The club made a decision which is on the record three year ago and wanted to see a high press , aggressive type of football played and recruited HC's and players to play this way .

Stendel , Struber and Val were hired because that's the type of football they played .

The recruitment was always matched to play this way .

It's had it's hard knocks and a massive stroke of luck last season admittedly .

We are a massively low budget championship club and you have to find a way with the odds massively stacked against you at this level .

It's bearing fruit right now which isn't to say It will last in the longer term .

We were in this position three years ago and were relegated the following season .
I didnt watch last night. However, we are a high pressing team. That is how we play under Warne. Played that way for 2 or 3 seasons. It was the basis for our peomotion last season.

Remember going there a couple of seasons ago and getting done 4 or 5 nil?

The players and management got less stick for that than they are getting for last night.

I’m not sure what’s changed or why some fans have become much more victory driven over the last few years.

I thought he was progressing well and was going to be a good manager for us but unfortunately for right now and maybe a couple of more years he has reached his limit. It's not his fault because he still has a lot to learn but for right now league one is his natural home.
If only he was as clever as you think you are everything would be fine. Armchair management at its finest ☹

Unfortunately there's a pattern developing in that the opposition get two goals in the first twenty minutes and then it's game over because they know we don't have the quality to overhaul that kind of deficit. It's happened quite a few times recently
It must be the easiest instructions a visiting scout will write for any upcoming games. Cardiff will have done the same.

It's ok saying we competed in the second half but we were already heading for defeat being 0-2 down and the opposition had us largely where they wanted us to be. If it was a draw at HT then they would have done things a lot differently like Brentford did.

ITS a shame that Hirst hasnt clicked for us because that could have really changed our fortunes but alas it has not worked out. We need to try and address that in the transfer window but it's getting harder now as we're seriously on the back foot regarding safety
