I think the fact that McMullen has voluntarily stepped down a division and the additional fact that no other top league team has come in for him speaks volumes for other Clubs’ assessment of his top league credentials and frankly his own personal assessment of his ability against Premiership opposition.

Don't know if anyone seen the STV news tonight but to me it looked like MM was saying that Mcmullan signed a pre-contract for them because we didn't have the money to keep him on for another contract.

It’s all relative importance I’m sure OA. In other words if Sir Lawrence was out of contract in the summer I’m sure we’d be bending over backwards to find the cash to do a deal. Let’s just say that when it comes to McMullen we’re not exactly as ‘motivated’.

The thing is mate,he'd be wanting more or at least the same amount of wages from us which imo would be far too much so he's went to the FUN for security and id say on a lot less money.

We perhaps used our financial situation as an excuse not to give him a contract because we wanted rid anyway so it will be interesting to see if we bring someone else in to take his place.

I'd try to offload him now. His heart won't be in it.

I could understand this is if he was consistently good or they were in the same league as us Shedka but they aren't, as far as strengthening is concerned i couldn't care less about them and who plays for them, they are not our rivals this season and probably wont be for a many years

Wonder if any Prem teams were genuinely interested

The offer was made before to play for ross co but he turned that down. Maybe dundee closer to where he wants to live etc

If the fun will take his wage over then probably for the best.

I liked him but obvious that Micky doesn’t much as he doesn’t give him a lot of time on the pitch
