McMullan - we will still be paying something on his loan
Smith- Can't imagine him being on much in the first place
    King- Probably same as McMullan

I do get we would have saved some sort of money from those players but i'm not sure it would be a great amount esp if we were wanting to bring in anyone of real quality.
Right enough on McMullan. I was forgetting they'd borrowed him for a while. Yeah, it's way off the mark now I think about it but there is still a saving to bring someone in at least.

Nah i still agree with you that it has freed up some sort of money where if we can be clever (unlikely) manage to get a deal in place for someone to come in.

Any 'saving' we have right now will likely be considered a saving, and not something to be spent.

I completely agree with you there, certainly from the owners/sporting directors side of things. I'm sure the manager would love to add to the squad. I just hope it doesn't come back to bite us on the arse.

I have not decided we are down but have warned all season that we could end up in a dogfight, never once this season did i think we were a top 6 side.
The major worries at the moment are in defence we cannot defend bread and butter set pieces and in attack we are creating nothing for an international striker.
Without bringing anyone in i think we can resolve the defensive issue but i'm struggling to see how we can sort out our season long problem at the other end with the players currently available.
We have not won any of our last 7 games, have picked up 4 points from 21 and scored the grand total of 4 goals.I think the fans have every right to be concerned.

If we were safe I would fully understand not signing anyone but I'm fairly concerned at this moment in time. Let's just win tomorrow and ease the pressure. 🙂
Yeah, I get that but what I'm saying is that money may already be required to keep the lights on...

Spot on! This season we have no balance.

If we play 442 we look like we can maybe create something but we also look fairly fragile at the back as less protection plus we are probably playing someone out of position.
If we play 3/5 at the back. defensively we look sound enough but going forward we really lack any sort of quality or creativity.

    Been our problem all season.

Why does it need to be one or the other though? What about 4-2-3-1 for instance?

I think it has to be 352 now. move to a 4 later in the game if we need to. we have 12 games left and just need to turn this run of form round and get back to where we were around November/December.
