A reminder from what i brought here on Monday which was the first time that percentages had been mentioned for Cohort 5.

People aged 75-79 99.9% (99) so as well as done but im sure will still increase.
People aged 70-74 85% (78)% which is target met but im sure will still exceed 90% after today.
People aged 65-69 53% which i think is a staggering effort considering that this was going on in the background while completing the 2 higher cohorts was the focus.

I initially thought the percentage target was aligned to the 75% flu vaccine uptake, but this week Nic mentioned 80% was their success target, and i have to say there is only one figure missing that target, which being a part of a bigger Cohort probably still means the Cohort percentage still greatly exceeds the 90%, never mind 80%.

Right through the vaccine effort and while supply and capability started to ramp up, when the Cohorts in Focus were coming to a certain point, the next Cohort were starting to be invited. I cant remember the exact dates, but Cohort 3 started before 1 and 2 were completed, Cohort 4 started before 2 was completed and Cohort 5 invitations at least overlapped the very end of Cohort 1 and 2s completion.

Overlapping the next Cohort at the right time when completing the last Cohort, makes perfect sense to me as its pretty foolish stopping the vaccine effort to tidy up the stragglers. Although Cohort 3 kept up a similar pace until exceeding the estimate, these figures naturally tail off towards the end of the effort, and its overlapping that has ensured consistency in the daily figures and made this so much of a success.
Yeah thought they would over lap but starting on 7 when only half way through 5 seems bit strange but not a problem.Yeah seen in the paper wee nic getting a bit of slagging for saying we had done all of over 70's while really had only done 80% which to be fair was her target but really should have said had met target not had done them all when 20% still to do.Especially because she keeps making the acusation that england only offered all there people in groups injections never forced them on them.
