Do you ever play 'Spot the poster' from the title of the thread before you open it ?
I knew when I saw this one it was either Wendun or IBS, with my money on the former.
Time to change the tune clown.
Nice post Wendy.
Not often I agree with you Gwru but I think 4 5 1 is the way forward for the last 3 matches. We have nowt to lose. Put round pegs in round holes.
Viking
Harding Icky Goose clark
Ogbene Barlaser Lyndsay Wing Giles
Smith
When tree is back play 4 4 1 1 with tree replacing Lyndsay and behind Smith.
Ogbene and Giles to provide the crosses.
Clark has got to better than a knacked Mattock. Leave Wiles out you can tell from the last few games he is totally burnt out. We have knacked this lad up for the season. 100 games and barely 20!Give him chance to find his feet in central midfield his proper position next year Warney worrever league we are in.

TS runs a sustainable club.....its as simple as that.Interestingly the SKY commentator last night said 'Rotherham don't have much money'. You can easily argue that we are one of the wealthiest clubs in the Championship because when I last worked out how much money I had I took into account what I owed , not just what was in my pocket. A stupid, lazy statement from the commentator.
I dont mind at all other people having different views raging, in fact I'd encourage it and it leads to debates that actually makes me look at things a little differently sometimes. However there has to be some reasoning about how we go about things, and all wendun seems to do is to say TS has to spend more money, and whilst that would be nice, TS is already putting in some decent money, but according to wendun, for him to pay to watch us TS has to put more money in to make us entertaining and successful, or he wont go, but TS could put more money in and we'd still go down so wendun and his like still wouldnt go because we arent successful.
I just want wendun to give us all on here a reasoned way forward, I'm all ears UTM
who are the fans you are referring too? Not read anything on this board that fans are wanting players signed up on 15grand aweek on 4 year deals . I’d like longer contacts for our better players so we get more money when or if they leave. But what Rotherham don’t do is start contract talks early . Keep saying it I’m not wanting million pound players but maybe better quality loan signing . But the chairman is fireproof above criticism. Easier to aim a gun at our manager.
You can't reason with the unreasonable. We all have differing opinions based on what the topic is but I like to think 95% of us can understand and appreciate another point of view. Sometimes it changes our own, it has mine on things.
Reasoned debate is healthy and what football is all about. A game of opinions after all. But once you get to the stage of calling anyone who doesn't agree with you deluded just because they believe something different then there is no point.
We are struggling in the championship and it has been frustrating for many reasons but have some damn perspective.
We aren't deluded, TS / PW worshipping, gullible idiots. We are just reasonable, understanding and hopeful. Oh, and actually appreciative. That's where the argument is absolutely pathetic, to lambast our chairman so vehemently and aggressively because we aren't yet established in the second tier. Behave. Is he perfect? Of course not. Has he done a hell of a lot for our football club? Too right and I'm thankful. Doesn't mean we can't challenge and voice opinions if we think he is making a mistake, but to disregard all the good is embarrassing.
Some people are the kind who, if they won the lottery, would moan that they have to go and collect the cheque.
If you want longer contracts, that's ok, provided that you understand that players are likely to want a larger financial package to be willing to tie themselves down in that fashion. In other words, you would price yourself out of a larger part of the transfer market.
As for wanting longer contracts for only the 'better players', how are you going to tell who are the better players when you sign them and agree a contract? Sure, you can look at their history, but some players 'click' in a team where others don't. In Rotherham's history you have Tom Pope, who failed to thrive at the club, but scored for fun at Port Vale. Dexter Blackstock is another one - great pedigree, but his signing on a 3 year contract didn't really work out did it?
