Apparently it was after Altrincham scored, allegedl Ross shouted ' Jesus, Mary and Joseph and the wee Donkey!'.
Ben Turner thought the last bit was reference to him so he made a complaint!

Are we really trying to find out who a possible snitch might be here? F*ck me...


People wanted this to be something sinister behind the scenes or a big falling out and once it was found out he actually just said something bad enough to be sacked for a bunch of so called Notts fans are now trying to find out which player is "too sensitive" and who could have snitched?

Here's some news for you, it's not your day anymore whether you like it or not, as someone else said, the Lukaku example is ridiculous, do you think Romelu would have been equally motivated if Conte had called him a big lazy N*? I'm not suggesting Ross said that btw but nobody knows what was said and probably never will, so there's no point guessing how extreme or tame whatever he said was and using that guess to form an opinion

It's one thing to be motivational and another to say something out of order, worthy of getting sacked for and fans need to move on from it, the club doesn't need to be the villian all the time, in this instance accept that Ross was the villain as he has accepted and forget about it.

I watched the interview with him on PiesPlayer again last night and there does seem something about him that is angry and simmering away. Maybe he just lost the plot on the training pitch and the players didn't like it?

Just read through all the posts and seen Mo's statement.

I'm pretty certain this has to be a racial incident for an immediate sacking after saying something to a player.
If it was, it's unacceptable and the club have made the right choice in my eyes.

FA are said to be investigating.

I really did hope for his sake that it wasn't something racist, it's going to be hard for him to come back from this, but there it is.
Not sure the club holding back on the basic reason for the dismissal for 24 hours has achieved anything but clearly the owners had no choice but to sack him.
