It's a fair comment and not one I had noticed.

Yeah, my point is there's probably more than we think that goes into decisions like these (for example Torquay fans won't realise Kyle Cameron quite likes to be re-united with his mate Callum Roberts and has probably had the club recommended to him) - that's all. And we'll never know what goes through a player's head.
It's a fair comment and not one I had noticed.
It very much depends on the replacements. I would hazard a guess that the vast majority are more than happy with Ellis’s replacement. Ellis was an above average defender but people have put more weight on his goals return, which incidentally he had never been so prolific.
Miller went on some decent runs but their was seldom an end product.
As you say Reeves was OK.
All are easily replaceable. I would be more worried if Roberts or Rodders wanted out.
I find astonishing that some are fabricating reasons as to why these 3 in particular have gone elsewhere. You were hinting at possible problems behind the scenes.
The facts are Reeves was very complimentary of the club and it’s management.
Ellis and Miller were never our players. We put them in the shop window and both got moves. Fair play but so what.
Too much time on their hands perhaps? Entertaining conspiracy? Pure guesswork? Underhanded tactics to try and disrupt the bandwagon?
It's nothing new it's the close season it happens every season. All you can do is not take anything on NCM too seriously.
There are a lot of points there that I can't disagree with. In fact we agree - we move on and we could get better than that trio....easily.
You've misread the posts and overreacted a bit. My point is only that you never know what goes through a player's mind when they make a decision, and you usually never will.
I’m more disappointed we didn’t retain Enzio. So that’s where my sour grapes lay.
My point was over the course of his time with us he had as many bad moments as good. Surely you can’t disagree that at times he was truly dreadful? I wouldn’t have been disappointed had he signed but his performances are following a trajectory below that of Rodrigues, and we both know you dont believe he deserved player of the season.
It's a puzzling case. Miller was a real enigma at Notts.
'78 is right in pointing out how poor he was at times - in his first two spells, amounting to about 6 games. When he came back again for a 3rd spell he looked like a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PLAYER and was a revelation when IB asked him to be an attacking left-winger basically. He terrorised defences, had many assists but never bagged a goal himself. Was that form sustainable? Which was the real Calvin Miller? I guess that's for Chesterfield fans to find out. You can't be sure, but I suspect it's the last version of him we saw, that's why most fans will be disappointed.
