I think I'm being misrepresented a bit here. You are quite right that I don't think Rodrigues deserved player of the season, but that's only because I think he only looked the part for half of the season at best. If anyone has taken that as me not rating Rodrigues, they couldn't be more wrong. He is the player I'm most looking forward to seeing next season because he has massive potential, and I would prefer him in the squad to Calvin Miller if it was a binary choice. I would have loved to have seen both, but that's not going to happen.

I think its fair to say that although its disappointing that reeves, miller and ellis have gone elsewhere our first new signing fits the bill, being a big unit, adding much needed height to the team and can also play a bit. Quality signing and could leave rawlinson in the centre of a back 3 where i think he is more comfotable if thats the system IB chooses to go with. If future signings are as good as this we probably wont be reflecting on those who are not with us for very long.

For sure, and that’s probably a factor in Cameron moving to us. But obviously irrelevant when choosing between Notts and Chesterfield!

Miller went on some decent runs but their was seldom an end product.
As you say Reeves was OK.

All are easily replaceable. I would be more worried if Roberts or Rodders wanted out.

I find astonishing that some are fabricating reasons as to why these 3 in particular have gone elsewhere. You were hinting at possible problems behind the scenes.
The facts are Reeves was very complimentary of the club and it’s management.
Ellis and Miller were never our players. We put them in the shop window and both got moves. Fair play but so what.
Let's face it if both Cal and Rodders wanted out some fans would still be saying we don't need them. It makes me smile how important players are one minute but when they leave suddenly they aren't fussed..

I'm a big fan of Rúben da Rocha Rodrigues and have been since the early days.

The quality, the talent was there for all to see all season the only question was how consistent and how productive he can be?

The period under IB at the end of the season answers those key questions.

The period at the end of the season under IB hinted at the answer rather than provided it. To properly answer it he needs to show he can maintain something close to that level of performance over a whole season.
