No its nothing to do with that or the police for that matter.I would have posted that years ago if i was concerned. As far as i remember i was supportive of Tony in his early days having been aware of his past.

I think it's fair to say this thread has been properly derailed. I always thought that wasn't allowed 🤔🙄😉

As ridiculous as it may sound i have this nagging feeling in my gut that he want's my club to fail, sorry that's the way i'm honestly thinking.
Thats fair enough you are entitled to think what you want of him.I hope you are wrong and he carrys on hitting targets with utd think target I would be looking for this season is a bit more attractive football and hopefully top 6 finish or close to and with a bit of luck a decent run in one of the cups.Only time will tell though.

I don't see any reason why TA would want the club to fail. That sounds bizarre unless you know something I don't.

My post about needing to get the finger out seems to have lit the touch paper and it's maybe no bad thing that the sleepy transfer rumour thread got a kick up the arse when there were no transfer rumours to talk about!

I dont dislike Tony, when I hear him speak he sounds fine. So what I say isn't based on personal dislike.

Rewind.......He sold a vision (Dundee United) to US investors and the vision appeared to include Tony running the club. Tony had never run a football club. He was a football agent and is very likely set to profit from transfer fees for our players. The owners installed a Managing Director (Brannigan) who left. That was shortly after a bust up with a supporters group, DUSF I think, don't know if that was the reason Brannigan left.

The owners said they were impressed with RN and he was the man to take the club forward. Hearts came calling and he left.
Malky Mackay was floated by Tony's press boy at the Sun as the next manager. Uproar.
Backpeddle. Mickey Mellon is our new manager. Fine.

Mickey did what was asked, kept us in the Premiership then left. Pattern developing or coincidence.

I was ok until then but that was when the wool was pulled over my eyes publicly with the Courts appointment which delayed potential signing business by at least 3 weeks and may have kyboshed some deals due to players not wanting to risk playing for a rookie at an experiment club.

Fast forward, we are 12 days from our season starting and we don't know whether Benji Fuchs Edwards and Shankland are staying, and we have signed a 35 year old CB while we have 3 other experienced CB'S on the books. Add into that we have made no further signings. Weve extended contracts of players many agree shouldn't have been extended, costing more money in wages than necessary. The finances are terrible and every penny should be a prisoner. So tbh I think it's reasonable to be asking questions, and since the only place I can ask them is on a message board that's exactly where I'll ask them.

I was never on it but very very interesting posts by Terence and PortuegueseFrank. There are the usual posters backing anything the club does and a few just happy to see the back of ST so willing to accept anybody else which at that time was fair enough.

I will admit that not many will agree with me thinking he wants failure at United fair enough but to me that means he hasnie got an FN clue about running a football club or he is on a cut of players being signed or having contracts extended.
Its one of the three mark my words,FACT.
BTW who signed up his son?,he went from coaching FN bairns at a high school, Motherwell U16's and U18's to Senior Academy Head Coach at Dundee United Football Club, that is some phucking promotion BTW but posters will say i'm just stirring shyte for no good reason,FACT.
Get your FN heads oot the sand FFS.

You really need to go back to page 1 to get the gist of it but one thing i will say is Terence has never wavered on his thought's of an American making a thin dime of profit from Dundee United.

Just seems highly unlikely to me, certainly not in any meaningful long term way. AND, it going to cause conflict between the owners and fans at some point, it's inevitable IMHO.

Well this is a trip down memory lane. Like watching TOTP 87 with Anthea Turner.

Anyway I have no issues with Tony.
Sort the contracts out, sign a couple of players, get us competitive, happy days.
