Cheaper older pros on extensions supporting several youngsters getting into the team.

Or the model I would have chosen, clear out most of the dead wood, strip the payroll back, make savings but add 2/3 players with real quality to blend with fewer kids at a time.

Must admit Reynolds and Pawlett’s extension had me scratching the napper, I just like to think that those who make the decisions ken what they’re doing 🙄

Then you think what if the plan is to flood the team with Academy kids in an effort to get the sell on strategy working?

Answer- Kerr Smith or Lewis Neilson struggling? Bring Connolly or Reynolds back in. Hoti or Mochrie strugling? Bring Pawlett and Harkes back in.

If that was to be the case then they'd have played more League Cup games to get them ready for the league, surely? We've seen the usual suspect from last season Reynolds, Pawlett, Harkes, Clarke etc getting plenty of game time instead. I think you're overthinking things tbh.
