We needed a fighter in the relegation season which wasn't him and then a manager who can deal with being at the biggest club in the league and expected to win it or be there abouts, also not really him.

Will do better with Solihull as much better fit for him.
How can a club not be the "right club" for a manager? Doesn't a new manager mould the club according to his own style? He was given free reign to sign who he wanted and so with his choices he ought to have the team he wanted, after that it's up to him to progress the club into success, not turn it into failure.

Not really mate no I can't agree with that one. True a manager does bring in his own style and personality, I'm saying Ardleys style and personality weren't suited to a club of Notts size at this level. We needed a outgoing fighter in the relegation season and he isn't that by a long way. I had more faith in him in this league but he could never grasp the fact that us fans aren't going to be happy scraping one nil wins, draws and losses to some of the teams in this league. Whereas he'd be happy with a point or even 3, unless we'd played well then in the main the fans weren't happy and I think he thought he's doing all he can, what more do we want. We want to beat teams like Dover by a couple of goals and some nice play and that isn't something his style of management would ever give us. Of course you're entitled to your views but I think he'll do much better this season at a smaller club with less expectations, we shall see I guess ha ha!

I'm just interested when he came to this particular decision.
This individual backed Ardley and said it was a mistake to sack him yet ardley has done nothing since as a manager for anyone to change thier opinion of him....yet this individual has all of a sudden proclaimed Ardley was indeed rubbish..!
So this post is in fact aimed at me, so why don't you just PM me.

That way if you so wish we can discuss at length about our former manager and the rest of the board don't have to endure yet more of your repeated posts about NA and it won't descend into the sort of thread 95% don't want to see.

It's clear from reading through the thread there doesn't appear to be an appetite to go over old (NA) ground.

We really should be ignoring each other but I am more than happy to correct you on some errors and inaccuracies in the above backstory and discuss further via PMs

    Speak soon.

No it was to find out when he became a bad manager in peoples eyes.
It was laddo that bought it to the table with his massive u turn.
Yes 2 seasons of mocking anyone who dared suggest Ardley was poor but then he joined those with very same opinion.
I for one found it interesting that he backed and supported Ardley unswervingly to the point he didnt think he shouldnt have been sacked.
He even supported Ardley when notts were in the play offs , if anyone had a dig he would remind them how good Ardley was.
So since then no football had been played he had not managed a team in action yet he had become a bad manager in laddos eyes.?
So out of interest when did he become bad.
I know a lot of Ardley sympathisers realised he was poor when IB turned the team into an attacking force with the players at his disposal...
    Xx

    Pedro,

I've got a busy couple of days but drop me a PM with a list of all your NA based questions and I will happy to answer them and hopefully help you put this bed and end the broken record.

You can't say fairer than that
