    F F sake,
Lai is unashamedly winding us down
Most of the big money earners have now gone like Gibbs, Austin, Hegazi as well as every other player who was not a regular on matchday.
We are still 5 players down from last season and now this statement
Zero spend on transfers so far
I was optimistic about us this season but with this this news I am actually concerned we will fade away just like Leeds did the other season.
Hate to say it but it really does look like Lai is clawing money back. I think you are bang on.

I think this is bang on too. I have been impressed with Val but he’s not a miracle worker and sadly will be hung out to dry!

I believe he new what to expect in the transfer deadline. He has given them his list and we have bought in his 3main targets in Mowatt, Clark and now Hugill. Ismael’s statement that he wants the right player for his system. He also prefers to use a smaller squad. Having said this I still think there will be at least i more incoming and don’t be surprised to see at least one leave.

We are clearly being asset stripped by this ******** nobody in China. Absolute disgrace. We must have received at least £10m for Pereira. Then the parachute payments. Then the savings on big earners like Gibbs, Austin, HRK. And we let go Field, Harper. No wonder Lai didn’t want Wilder ..... who would already be whinging in the press ....this has been the game all along.

If we get a few injuries, suspensions, Corona positives ... then things will turn nasty very quickly .... as we have nothing in the tank as we saw the other night. Hope I am wrong .... or we just get lucky ...

The sooner the Chinaman leaves our club the better .... we will go nowhere with him at the helm. Unfortunately no-one is going to buy us right now ... and the Chinaman wants his money back ...by whatever means.

I am with you Al on being impressed with Val.

However I think he knew what he was letting himself in but is being very clever about it. He is a new Manager building a reputation, with the fans, with the owners and players and with the media.

We are a big step up on Barnsley but I am sure for him (correctly) West Brom are not the end of his ambitions but a stepping stone. Fans obviously love his passion, as do some players but not all. That is why I think he prefers small squads being players who will do what he wants and what they are told.

Some flair players I don’t think would be able to fit within his system. For me Bielsa is the same, small squads, players who work hard and do what he wants. However, I don’t see many, if any, maybe Raphina, fitting into say Man C, Man U, Chelsea etc.

However, most importantly I think most owners would love to have Managers like him who are not demanding more and more expensive players to replace the expensive players they already have. Owners will see Balance sheet benefits for them with someone like Val.

I think every club below the top 6 will have him on their list of potential Managers once they are in the market for one, if he continues to do what he is doing, plus overseas clubs. That is why I think Wilder, amongst others, is struggling to get a job!

How the hell have we ended up with an owner who makes Mike Ashley look like Sheikh Mansour? Peace has a lot to answer for… FOL

Football is a dodgy business .... always has been and always will be especially now the rewards are so great at the top. Lai is just the embodiment of that ...... no connection with the clubs history or fan base ...... just in it for the money.

Sooner he gets out of our beloved club the better .....
