Gave 100% so good luck i awlays want to see ex utd players do well when they have come through youth to first team as its good for our reputation. Lets sort out the right hand side too and get freeman starting.
Folk (not you SB71) keep using Douglas as an example, but would he have developed into the player he is now if he'd stayed at Utd? Probably not. Robson may well improve with better coaching and playing with & against better players but there's no saying he'd improve to that extent playing for us. Would Robertson be as good as he is now without the coaching he gets at Liverpool. That's a definite no, so it's a poor example of hindsight imo.

Well, working our way though replacing the poorer players is how you build a better squad. 😉

We've improved the centre half area massively wouldn't you agree? Or do you think Reynolds and Connolly were good enough?

agree 100% - my point is that its an opportunity and the right time as he now has the opportunity to develop in a different way. He was decent at times and overall was average in my view with some good high points. Good luck Jamie though.

Liam smith for the chop? mmm he is under contract but freeman showed he has the possibility of offering us something smith is poor at and with McMann who is also a great crosser could be exciting to have to full backs to worry opponents. The Reynolds and Connolly example is spot on (sorry for agreeing with you so much tA ) mulgrew and edwards is an upgrade! thats what we need.

This transfer window has been abysmal.

At least we held on to Benji,Fuchs and Edwards but we haven't really improved anything.

I don't know anything about McMann but if he's a good crosser and a genuine attacking fullback then that's exactly what we need! We've all been crying out for creativity with us starving the front line but that has to come from our full backs aswell. It's not a big part of Robson or Smith's game and has hindered us massively.
