One thing is for sure is if I watch her she'll lose. Thankfully for her tennis has primarily gone the way of boxing and is PPV so I won't be parting with my hard earned $.
Isn't it on ESPN? Get yourself that month pass you saved up all year for to get a couple of times last season

And maybe likely to later flee to the USA to further her career

    And avoid taxes

Or earn more money there any why not.
I presume she won't be able to avoid the American tax system

    I thought she was Australian.

There was that "youngest ever skateboarder" as well who is from the USA or Japan.

And going further back, Greg Rusetski and Zola Budd.

So who's more British...someone born and bred here but who chooses to pay taxes somewhere else, or someone whose made their home here and stays to pay their dues once they make it?

It would make life a lot easier wouldn't it? I don't see anyone questioning the place of birth or the parentage of the 11 men who don the Millers shirt on a Saturday afternoon (except flourbasher of course who refuses to support anyone born in Sheffield )

    I'm with Stovic on this.

There is vaguely kind of a point in Grist's posts, however, which is that there is something badly wrong with British tennis - it's a wealthy sport in a wealthy country but cannot produce much home grown talent (although Radacanu's tennis abilty is home grown).

Somebody needs to ask why the LTA fails to deliver. My suspicion is because it only opens it's doors to a very narrow section of society.
