I'm interested UTM out of that list who do you think would have the best chance to get us up? It's got to be Hardy cos as you say he wouldn't spend as much as the incoming inevitable financial disaster (Hardy, Trew, Scardino) would have been delayed a couple of seasons. Before Pop!!!

Here's another question what if Hardy (however unlikely) hadn't sold the club and we went into NL with him in charge and he was still the owner now. How much worse do you think it would be?

I would predict certificate 18 stuff, an absolute horror show#shudder.
Even Dunnett reached the point of having to arrange a crisis meeting where he basically passed the bucket around for spare change. You just have to hope owners do enough to attract better owners when they're ready to throw the towel in.

Another thing that crossed my mind.
On Saturday 6th September 2003 Notts played Luton Town with 7,505 turning up for what they feared might be the club's very last game at Meadow Lane under the threat of expulsion from the Football League.
That very same day, the newly formed Combined Counties League Premier Division phoenix club AFC Wimbledon were playing away at Westfield in the FA Vase. The original Wimbledon would become MK Dons at the end of that season. Today AFC Wimbledon are two levels above Notts having just returned to their home on Plough Lane, where they meet Sheffield Wednesday in the next home game.
Had Notts gone under in 2003, where would we be today? Would we be as high as AFC Wimbledon or even higher?
Again, it's a question that cannot be answered, but it makes you wonder.

Perhaps we all need to realise that we are not an attractive deal for a new owner (God knows why not though?). Lets be honest, since Jack Dunnett the only thing we have attracted is the Munto scam!
Perhaps someone could explain why we can't attract a billionaire owner with honest intentions? (No disrespect to some previous, well intentioned owners).

I think the reason we struggle to attract the sort of owners that do well at other clubs can be explained with one word. Begins in F, ends in T.

I'm not losing interest quite yet...

If the club were to do just one single thing to the solve the playing problems at the moment, I would say it was provide IB with an actual right wing-back so that we can play more to the strengths of the squad (good choice of CBs to play in a 3, poor midfield choices so play 2 in there with Ruben in a free role)

It's shockingly poor to me, recruitment sent IB to a knife fight carrying a small stick. They knew the 1st choice formation but didn't provide viable options for this key role.

Don't agree that there are individual"things" we need to do to "kickstart".

We do (as a team) need much more aggression....The talk about being "big and ugly" in this league is very appropriate,
    to my way of thinking.

But shouldn't that be an incentive? What a buzz footballing Nottm had when we played competitive derbies.

OK I admit I may have missed a few posts so perhaps it has been made clear already, apologies if so, but can someone clarify for me why our owners' methods and even motives are being questioned all of a sudden after these two defeats?

The players obviously deserve criticism, perhaps even the manager despite the injuries etc. but surely not the owners and even the CEO though.

Can anyone explain properly without ranting?

    Owners aren't above criticism.

You're absolutely right UTM. I simply wanted to know the reasons.

The owners have been great. As far as we know, pay the bills on time, and the club is a well functioning entity. Wanting a team that plays good football as well as winning isn’t a bad ambition.

I’m not sure why they’re responsible for our lads forgetting how to defend for 20 minutes yesterday.
