A bit late, but here are my ratings:

Patterson 7 - no saves to make, but confident with his handling and distribution.
Brindley 7.5 - defended well, and made some good runs forward when the space opened up.
Lacey 7 - solid, and comfortable with the ball at his feet.
Chicksen 7 - did well, always looks best on the left side of a back 3.
Kelly-Evans 7 - highly competitive as always, DKE squaring up to a 6'3" opponent has become a regular sight!
Vincent 7 - not everything worked, but gives us the energy in midfield that we have often lacked.
Palmer 8 - always in the action, breaks up attacks and rarely wastes a pass.
Roberts 6.5 - still not playing to his potential, but slowly getting there.
Taylor 8* - much improved recently, helps out at the back and was a real threat going forward putting in some great crosses.
Rodrigues 7.5 - some of his turns on the halfway line open up the opposition, really wish he had buried the header with his parents watching, but Mitchell was on hand to put it right.
Wootton 8 - I know he misses a few chances, but if he was clinical his all-round ability would see him playing at a much higher level. The chance he took wasn't an easy one, the ball was fired across and he could have got underneath it, but he kept it down well.

Rawlinson 6.5 - slotted in well at the back, but one dodgy moment where he nearly gave them a lifeline losing possession in our box.
Mitchell 7 - in the right place to score, should give him a confidence boost.
    Francis - n/a

All in all a memorable day. These big occasions often prove a letdown, but yesterday was the real deal. Well done to everyone throughout the club, because all played their part. I just hope a few of the casual fans will be tempted to come back for more.

Not bringing him on to replace an already booked DKE was the one thing that surprised me yesterday.
Nemane plays well for 10 minutes and then stops taking defenders on and starts passing the ball backwards.. I prefer DKE, he doesnt bottle out of challenges...

I don’t agree, when he came on against Grimsby he scared them half to death with his pace, and certainly did more than DKE had, albeit playing on the left. This meant their right back didn’t get forward as much as he had un the first.

I think he’s worth a run in the team, but clearly IB doesn’t think so at the moment.

    Good call

I don't think we're ever going to see it, unless it's a 'chasing the game' scenario. Doubt IB will ever trust him defensively, although he's no worse than Miller was in that respect.
We're OK for now, although with the stiff competition this season any weakness in the team will become costly for places 1 to 3, come the final reckoning.

    Thanks Elite.

Your ratings are usually very close to how I see it when I can be there so I tend to look for them when I'm not.
