Not a bad night for Notts baring in mind we were away to 2nd in the league.

Chesterfield drew, Grimsby, Bromley, Halifax all lost too. Tonight could have gone a lot worse! 3 points off 3rd isn't a bad place to be in all honesty

It's bunching up nicley and 2 wins at home could see us right in the mix

Tonight could have gone much better to, with a win and closing the gap at the top. If other teams slip up we must take full advantage

You're far too sensible for the #COM Carlton_Pie!

As I've said before on here it won't be a draw away from home against the team in 2nd place that costs us the title, it will be the defeats and points dropped against the lesser sides and that's been the case the whole time we've been down in this league.

Not the end of the world obviously but we really do need to go on a block of five or six wins in a row at some point if we are to be right up there.
But if you look at all the so called strong sides they have all had bad results against poorer sides, it’s just the league we’re in, lower standard and players less consistent.

    Absolutely.

There's some encouragement that Chesterfield have dropped a couple of points, so we haven't lost any more ground, but potential title-challenging teams often emerge with a run of results in the mid-winter months when other weaker sides have a blip.

If we can take, say, two or three points from the forthcoming games against Chesterfield and Wrexham, then we should look to take maximum points from the other games against Dagenham, Southend, King's Lynn, Dover and Barnet. We should be capable, and if we deliver, then we'll be in a strong position by mid-January.

Yup and we had the far tougher fixture on paper. Chesterfield will be kicking themselves 2-0 up at home and failing to win.

As for Notts, always disappointing when you are leading and don't win but it's the result I predicted and wouldn't be upset with before kick off. That's more YAPs in the owd back pocket too
