Yes, what Boreham Wood have done with their resources is fantastic, and they have my total admiration. I just can't accept that being their equals last night is a good thing, simply because some clubs under achieve and some clubs over achieve.

Why can't we just f@cking 'achieve', because if we did we wouldn't be down here.

The fact is we are a fifth rate club. Most of the time I've supported Notts we've been a third rate club with occasional seasons in the dizzy heights of the top two divisions. Now we're a fifth rate club and we are to be content with a draw from a winning position at Boring Wood.
Well put. Even if we were to go on a disastrous run of form and be relegated, I'd still renew my season ticket at the earliest opportunity.

Following season I'd be moaning about us getting a draw at Alfreton Town, but I'm sure some would still see it as a good result because they were a couple of places above us!!!

Achieving this season for me compared to budget is 4th, I don’t like it so we obviously need to over achieve to win this league. If we were a club that achieved historically and were ran right we would be sitting comfortably in L1, but we all know the story.

I totally believe having a smaller squad is better as it means all the players are engaged with a genuine chance of playing, that was the opposite in the relegation season.
Fine if you have good cover for injuries or loss of form. Otherwise loanees, if available, have to fit into our playing system

In my list of players I'd least like to lose, Wootton is near the top.
Is he? You’re entirely right in your comments about the BW result, but Wootton’s a funny one. I’m not much of a fan, though he was certainly fantastic against Solihull, but it sounds like he went missing in the 2 latest away games. He does that a lot.

I’m not sure he really fits in to the way IB wants to play, and I think you’re right, he won’t be here next season. Will be interesting to see where he ends up if he’s not.

You are possibly too young to remember it, but we were a club that has achieved historically. Make that a club that has massively over achieved, because our fixture list used to consist of clubs like Man City, Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs etc. I don't expect anything remotely close to that now, but do we really have to meekly accept Boreham Wood as equals?

Agree totally, although I think the lack of ambition and aura of content seems to be the message sent from the top at the club, although AH and others said too much I feel our current owners are saying too little and because of this some of us feel that there is an air of complacency and no ambition at the moment.

The KW and RR situations in January IMO will define our season for sure, there needs to be some sort of ambition shown from above ( verbal or actions) as at the moment some of us aren’t satisfied with mediocrity, if KW and RR go replacing them with more Mitchell’s, Sam’s or Knights won’t wash.

One thing Kyle Wootton never does is "go missing". He has his share of ineffective games, but that's entirely down to to competing against two centre backs with little or no support. If he does go, he'll be bloody hard to replace.

We need to keep them and strengthen if we are serious about promo. The owners and manager say we are, so over to them.

That standard old nonsense NCM chestnut eh? You're better than that Elite surely. Not one person on here 'accepts mediocrity'. We're fans, you know 'fanatical' Notts County supporters.
