That said, not sure the party has any relevance to the reporting of the story. Could suggest it is sensationalising the facts. One positive test can happen anytime. Further PCRs needed in view of current guidelines. No different to any other team's COVID issues to me.

Hopefully all involved/infected are ok. That is the most important thing.
One positive test can happen anytime, correct. But why, just why, group 20 odd guys together on a team bus and go and visit another city for a night out? You are simply putting everyone involved at an even greater risk. For a professional football club to make this kind of 'error of judgement' at this stage of the pandemic takes some amount of stupidity.

Yeah, it's actually quite hard to believe this has happened.

I don't see it that way. They haven't broken any rules...they players all train and play together. They have a life outside of football. There is just as much chance of the players picking up covid from their kids attending school. It's a global pandemic and eveything is still open! We are just about to get absolutely smashed with this new variant...so I wouldn't be surprised if you see a hell of a lot of other teams getting hit with it too.

I don't think using is suggesting rule breaking here. You think going to a nightclub isn't increasing their risk of infection? 🤔

Yes they probably shouldn't have done the night out but what about us fans sitting shoulder to shoulder at games is that any different. By the way only asking this .
