IB seems like a great coach, but I think we’re safe for the minute.

The brothers run a very successful business tracking and promoting players across Europe, whether their billionaire dad helps them out or not financially I don't know, but the cash is there if needed. Their understated use of it is their business but their backing of Burchinall so far has been quietly successful.
The dishonest doings of Chesterfield will undoubtedly have been noted by other clubs, as will the bottomless pit of wealth now obvious at Wrexham.
Failure to achieve promotion by either of those two clubs will hit them much harder financially than it would us, schit or bust for the first, owners loss of interest for the second.
It's guesswork, and if you do know exact figures you shouldn't be posting them on here IMO.
That reminds me who was the person on here who claimed something like nobody at Notts is on more than a £1K p/w?
It was a simply stunning statement even without people knowing exact figures and guestimateing likely wages of the squad.
When Trew was selling the club, there were mentions of a Danish Billionaire wanting to take over. Trew released this information for his own reasons, personally I think it was to goad Hardy after their spat and then these Danes disappeared. Move forward a couple of years and we end up with Danish owners of unknown wealth. I may be putting 2 and 2 together here but me thinks they wanted to buy us before Hardy but didn't want people knowing what they have in the bank (for good reasons this time!). I think it's in their interests to not want people to know they can splash the cash because that means players go up in price, kind of flies in the face of buying bargains and selling for a profit if you're getting rinsed buying in the first place
Could also be that RT did meet their Dad, who may have wanted to buy Notts' but things didn't happen for one reason or another, his Sons obviously got to know of Notts through this, maybe it wasn't the right time for them to jump in due to other commitments but kept an eye out, then when this **** hit the fan, decided to make a move as their owm business model was stable & producing.
Not all rich Dads bankroll their sibblings![]()
In a way their wealth is a bit irrelevant, if you say their preferred way to run the club is to bring in, develop, sell high, repeat and climb the tables in the meantime. Then what matters is how much others are ready to splash the cash.
Still, rebuke accepted - it was an assumption I was making about their (relative to RR) wealth, and they're much too canny for me to really know.
