Team formation dismally wrong. Pawlett stuck out on the wing and was only able to get involved when he abandoned that position an came in to get involved.

    Harkes was anonymous as usual.

Neilson is not for me I'm afraid.

All round, a really dismal night for us.
The decisions from courts are now becoming baffling and that is not a good sign for him as punters are gonna turn against him. Hasnt helped that fuchs aint the same player now but even not starting watt with no goals up front is just a stupid wrong decision. Why drop freeman? Maybe reasons behind scenes. But that first half was unacceptable - again.

No excuses for not bursting a gut right from the off especially given our form.
We don't have the best team in the league but we should be playing our best players in their best positions.
Watt, Glass and Freeman should have started ahead of McNulty, Neilson and Harkes.
Due to the above although we have a decent squad, it is being handicapped,, Tam is responsible for this and needs to fix asap
One other point if Tam wants the team to put crosses in the box he needs Tony to sign someone with height and strength, we cant be solely relying on Mulgrew and Edwards at set pieces.

Fix all of above and I Iike our chances ,big if though

Really do not want to say too much about that last night…

    First half - utter s,hite

    Second half - slightly improved.

That could have been cut and pasted from numerous games this season. Deja vu. Not good enough.

PS Ref was a useless incompetent fool. Definite penalty.

..on their goal that was ruled offside. Was that because there was a player in an offside position interfering with play by standing in between the ball and Benji? Not sure if that's a thing though...this offside rule has been changed that many times!

Almost is why we get beaten by St Mirren at home. It's not good enough to create one or two good/excellent chances in a match at this level when we are giving goals away at the back. It worked early in the season when the defence were exceptional but we need a deferent answer now we know we can't rely on the clean sheet, no matter who we are playing.

I am also thinking its unfair to lay any blame at Pawlett as well as i think he was one of the better players, but that bar is so fecking low!

Leaving Benji, Edwards and Mulgrew out of this, there was just so many players who were collectively just utterly ineffectual.

McMann i just do not know where he has gone?
Niskanen has had one or 2 good games and thats it.
Levitt just back from injury and didnt look interested.
Fuchs just didnt look interested full stop.
Harkes is the worst ive seen him and wonder how he has went from player of the month to tonight?
Neilsen just isnt a right back and looked like he wanted to be elsewhere.

This isnt just tonight, its been bubbling away over the last god knows how many games, and i think TCs target of 48 points is now out of reach, as is a top 6 spot, even though we are only 3 points off that. I am looking for reasons why so many players are a shadow of what they can be, and that has to be down to the way they are being coached, and there are too many rumours that all is not well!
The team was wrong last night. Ultimately that is the managers decision and he has to take the blame.

Likes of McNulty and Neilson will get a game when there are injuries but don’t be starting them ahead of better players.

The games we have lost now have been against the poorer sides at home - Livi and St Mirren

After the late goal at Ross County I thought the team would respond but the opposite has happened

Not going to rant too much after last night, but surely now Harkes and Pawlett should never be near the first 11 for months

It was obvious before the start of the season what the problem was - creating chances and scoring goals and that was not addressed at the start of the season. We actually started the season weaker up front than the season before and the same midfield duo who offer little creativity. We are on the same points and almost identical goal difference as same number of games last season. It is only down to the run of clean sheets in these 1-0 victories we are not deep in relegation mire.

Signing Watt at least signals they know it is a problem area we need to sort out but I don't know why it has taken the January window to understand this.

We were awful. Looked very rusty, like the break has been bad for us. Levitt and McNulty clearly hadn't played in ages. Just no tempo at all. A bit better second half when Clark and Freeman came on but overall just so many players not quite at it. Meanwhile they score a worldie (dubious free kick that led to it) and we gift them a second.

That said their goalie has made 3 excellent saves - own defender in first half, mulgrew and Freeman in second half (4 if the ref had spotted him saving Mulgrew's cross). Mulgrew's free kick too although that was fairly routine. McNulty missed a sitter. Edwards and Clark had tough chances with headers but both should at least hit target. Plus the horrific penalty decision. Maybe, there are some positives.

Nervousness on the pitch but very evident in the stands too.

I wish someone would pick up the ball in midfield and run towards the goal. That is all I ask for.

If it happens even once on Saturday I will have a good weekend
