They are absolutely honking. Going by previous seasons, we're about 7 points from automatic safety. We've taken 4 points from our last 3 games. Continue that and we'll be fine. Our most recent form isn't that of relegation fodder. Prior to the break it was, absolutely.
Would agree with that mainly due to the way the league works. The teams below us will take points off each other. After the Fun host County they are away at Hearts and Celtic I think.

My concern about Tam is that I don't think he's getting the best out of the players he has at his disposal. Maybe it's fair to say he's learning on the job. I think your Jim Goodwins Graham Alexanders know the game so much better, know a player better and given the opportunity would have recruited better in the areas we're short in.
They don't fanny around and I'm willing to bet they don't read too many manuals.

That's not to say we'll never improve under Tam, we probably will. I don't think we're going to be pulled into a relegation battle but I'm not confident we can get top 6 either.

The Arsenal laddie must have looked at that and thought WTAF is this. Hopefully he can bring some care and attention with neat passing and Kevin McDonald too. The three strikers can actually score it's just the way we play in midfield doesn't create enough quality chances for them. Our midfield has been rank rotten for a long time, really rotten beyond belief, these 2 additions can't possibly make it worse.

The bottom teams have a game in hand and we have St Johnstone at the weekend...so it may not be that big a gap soon. Its just so disappointing that we were so poor tonight as that was a proverbial 6 pointer and Saturdays game is very much a 6 pointer...the fact that these players can't raise their game just now is worrying. Just watched the lad Sweeney sticking his head in front of Nicky Clarks sitter and comparing it McNulty not putting the ball in the net last week in case he hitd the post and it tells me which players would be up for a relegation battle. Our players are buying into the concept that they can't be caught and that is a dangerous mindset. Until we are mathematically safe...then we ain't safe!
I agree that we are probably a few wins away from being there but I am just struggling to see where these wins are coming from.

You think a young guy’s first ever senior game should’ve been in a heated derby for a team he joined a day ago?

On a different note the Hun Pundit looks more or less finished. My first thoughts was the tackle on Graham was a red but the DUTV commentators didn't make much of it. Thoughts anyone?

He's still capable of finding a good ball in moments but he's getting booked regularly for mistimed challenges and starting to look clumsy. If the Funsters think he's keeping them up they're wrong.

A quick check over the road most of them are just relieved they didn't lose and taking the positives from what they describe as a much improved performance. I think they're going down.

agree. He is the only positive. He was very good against Celtic too. Looks like a talent. All that extra defending in Dunfermline has stood him in good stead.

To be brutally honest I never got the hype about Kerr Smith, don't get me wrong I hope he turns out to be a star, but I think our most valuable talents are still at the club.

why not? we allowed a sub who hadnt played for months to come on for half an hour. Our midfield was stinking. He should have got on the pitch.
