I would be sending quite a few of the present squad down a deep mine for some hardship as to what it was really like to make a living back then.

Same here Lloyd.
My dad’s side of the family were ALL miners on the male side and wives of miners.
My great uncle Joe Wright who was born around 1908 was major of Durham from May 1978 until May 1979 and the former miners union leader for that area.
My family were involved in the Jarrow March.
I don’t require being talked down to by some puffed up pillock from Barnsley on the subject of mining hardship in a family.

First of all I took exception to the post where mining was used as a put down to my club and it's fans .
Every action leads to a reaction so to speak .
I respect the posts from Baggies who have a family history or were directing involved in working class struggles themselves and I sincerely apologise to you posters for my comments .
With the season we are having I'm pretty wound up about it especially after yet another defeat and in the 93rd minute .
Nobody has come out of this Val business too well , there are no winners in South Yorkshire or the West Midlands .
I'm massively frustrated by the whole thing .
Here's hoping for better days ahead for both our clubs and I'll draw a line under this now because it's not doing anyone any good .
All the best .
I hope Barnsley go down.
This pathetic blame culture over a bloke who couldn’t manage to tie his own shoe laces.
Never mind Fulham and the like if Derby stay up they deserve the championship trophy. Incredible effort after being crushed with points deductions. Purely from a players point of view it’s mammoth.
Well said mate.
I understand your frustrations with side completely as defeats really get me down too.
I hope your stay up and them sc ummy direby c???? Down instead.
Pay us the £2m back for Val, and he could maybe save you again. Sod it just give us £1.5m back and you can have him and I don't believe it will cost you £60k a week in wages as I'm certain he was nowhere near that figure at our place.
