Well having done the research you suggested and looked for the 'Orwellian' themes you suggested and found none, and now find it's your anecdotal interpretation of one school, I think I'll choose 'not' thanks

Actually it's not one school. The school is part of a multischool academy and the same guidance has been issued to all schools in that academy.

Like I said earlier, believe it or not, doesn't matter to me

I'm surprised at the criticism levelled at Grist. His comment exactly reflects the required approach to misbehaviour adopted in Trauma Informed Schools. There's a wealth of information on the topic and I don't think organisations like Mental health Today can be dismissed as "crackpot blogs".

By the way, I make no observation on the efficacy of the TIS approach as I'm neither an educationalist nor a psychologist. Nor do I necessarily agree with Grist that the approach is Orwellian. I simply say that Grist's comment was accurate and no teacher in a TIS would 'tell off' a pupil in the way that is commonly understood. To argue black is white simply to support a political viewpoint is what has made MM such a difficult place to make any sensible comment. G-f and I encountered a similar denial of unpleasant truths when we made the purely factual and accurate observation of large numbers of migrant boats sailing into Dover.

    So first hand not Facebook
I hate to be pedantic, but that would be second hand from the original source, which does increase the risk of a misunderstanding or miscommunication.
