Fair enough for me, you can post what you like mon ami, but you were the one attempting to censor/limit what was discussed on this thread, so I ask the same question you did, WTF has any of the above got to do with Putin invading Ukraine ?

Lucy Powell on SkyNews was asked, in the light of Putin's invasion of Ukraine, would she support increased defence spending. She said it wasn't for her to make that decision. She couldn't even understand the question, never mind answer it, or maybe she just wanted to dodge it. And this is one of the top bods in HM Opposition. She makes Truss seem like a stateswoman.

That's pure unadulterated bollox sinkov. In the globalised world of geopolitical problems, one dickhead in the Labour Party does not come close to the repugnant Tory Party's acceptance of Russian money.

I'd go as far to say it might influence how they react to the despotic Putin's agenda. Don't bite the hand that feeds you and all that.

Corbyn gets chucked out of the PLP for made up/fake anti-Semitism, Gardiner keeps the whip despite accepting money from China with a suspicion of spying.

Johnson & Starmer really should go on the stage as a two-man comedy act.

Not really interested in the above BT, my point is your attempt to censor what can and cannot be discussed on this thread. It's not how this msgboard normally operates, and it's not how you normally operate. What's the matter with you mon ami, this is not Facebook, Twitter or YouTube. Did you eat a bad pie last night ?

Starmer is about as clueless as our mainly corrupt Cabinet full of Conservative and Unionist Cretins led by a blonde-haired, grinning, smirking, clueless clown called Boris Johnson.

Truss & Co have this morning has backtracked on their promised relaxed visa granting for Ukrainian refugees seeking shelter with relatives in the UK. Whatever happened to our old ethos of charitable, compassionate Christianity? I weep, I really do.

Just to add, there's not much point in asking the Shadow Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport if we should increase our defence spending. I've never met the lass but she does not seem to be the sharpest blade in the knife box, but on recent showings neither does Liz Truss.

I had high hopes for Liz, but those hopes have evaporated into the ether once it became apparent Ms Truss loves taking excessive jollies at the taxpayers expense on so called business trips.

FFS BT, there's a war going on right on our doorstep, she's a Shadow Cabinet Minister, the answer was YES, but she couldn't bring herself to say it. One swipe of Maggie's handbag would maybe have knocked some sense into her, or maybe not.

Yes I remember that BT, you were touting her as the next Tory leader, I did say at the time that she wasn't the one, nowhere near the calibre of a great leader like St Margaret. In fact Maggie wouldn't have had her even washing the dishes in 10 Downing St.

Where are they now BT, the great leaders like St Margaret, Ronnie, and the Donald when you need them ? Are Boris, Macron, Von der Leyen, that German halfwit and Sleepy Joe going to put Putin back in his box. I have my doubts, in fact I'm going to text Balan, see if he has any spare tin hats he could airmail asap to the Ribble Valley, and also any spare instruction booklets for DIY Nuclear Fall Out shelters.

"Should we increase our defence spending?"

We have three nuclear subs in dry dock.

We have an aircraft carrier that fails to launch the few aircraft we have, we sell more arms than we can make.

Claret_Matelot will have more information than me on this subject I'm sure, but probably only the odd left wing socialist would deny us spending a few more quid on defending the realm.

I respectfully suggested you open a separate thread to ridicule Barry Gardiner for getting involved with a Chinese spy. How is that censorship? I asked you to discuss it - not thwart it.
