Where do you get 90 mins from? Oh silly me that's right you are unable to judge a player or team performance when its on TV or an online stream. I've only actually seen Lionel Messi for 90 minutes (in the flesh), looked decent that day at the Camp Nou but too soon to say he's a superstar after only one game obviously

I'm not alone in believing Ruben is too good for this level, even opposition managers have stated similar during post match interviews.

I need to tally up or the fans who didn't comment after Saturday's victory but have emerged after tonight's very disappointing defeat. .[/QUOTE]

    Sorry, that includes me.

I think this pattern has something to do with the fact that we're in the NL! Hence wins against very modest opposition are not generally seen as a cause for great rejoicing, whereas defeats to the small number of contenders (for 1 or 2 promotion berths) are demoralising.

I think people are focusing a bit too much on needing new players, anyway. It wouldn’t matter even if we did get them, because we approach every single situation in the same way. We play out from the back, and if it isn’t working, the answer is always that we just aren’t doing it well enough and never that our tactics aren’t right for the situation.

We got ourselves in a great position last night, 1-0 up away from home in a massive game with half an hour left. But we were coming under increasing pressure from a team pressing very, very high and loading our box to target the fact we only had Cameron who could win the ball in the air.

The solutions were IMO pretty obvious. Rawlinson on for Richardson to give us much more aerial defence, with Brindley shifting to right back to give us a solid back four. We don’t need overlapping runs in that situation. Then Nemane on for one of the three behind Wootton with instructions to keep running into the huge amount of space they were leaving.

Instead we brought on Brunt for Vincent, making the XI even smaller and less physical, kept giving the ball away thirty yards from our own goal trying to play it out, and inevitably crumbled. It was bizarre to watch.

I like our style of football, and it works in a lot of situations. My problem is that we’ve become completely dogmatic about it.
    Well said

And yes I have now see you've switched and I for one and delighted to see it. It just shows you it's best not to judge a player too soon. Maybe the radar was working after all.

Now he's been given plenty of time to perform he is rightly getting much praise from supporters including ones that wanted him out of the club within a month or so of signing. Laughable but a true story.

He has certainly proved me wrong but I always hoped

You have a tendency to judge players after a matter of a few games , and very limited minutes on the pitch so you aren't really in a position to question others chap lol.
I'm only questioning you on the basis that i have seen every game that Sam has been involved in, whereas you haven't. So i think I'm in a better position to give an opinion rather than a regular armchair radio listener/ troll..

So on that basis the more games you've been to, the better or more valid your opinion is about Sam, Doyle's contribution to coaching, IB, the team and Notts County FC in general? Interesting concept. Or could it just mean you've been wrong more often than supporters who go less than you which appears to be almost everyone else lol.

I didn't realise going to every home game and every away game gave you the special ability to make such definitive judgements on a player (Sam, Nemane) based on just a few games and very limited minutes.
