One of the worst refereeing performances we've seen this season and there have been very many bad ones.
It’s easy, given all the circumstances, to become a little paranoid about referees. I’ve certainly had few complaints in recent weeks and seldom subscribe to the idea that we lost because of the referee. They often make mistakes but who doesn’t?
Tuesday night however was different and I can only agree...worst and most bizarre refereeing performance of the season which was, on this particular occasion, why we lost.
Strangely that particular ref is one of the few who’s played the game at a decent level. Referring back to a retro football chant I prefer to think of him as ‘the bald headed ******* dressed in black’.

It's the nature of being at the bottom, decisions do tend to go against you disproportionately. Rooney had all those years at United where they'd have gotten everything, so it's a new experience for him. I despise VAR a lot, but it does offer *some* levelling up in terms of these decisions.
Regardless of the ref, we never really troubled the keeper, but we're trying and that's all that can be asked for in the circumstances.

Tbf Ramshank the Cardiff keeper did have to produce the best (only?) save of the night...from Morrison’s header.
I can excuse refereeing errors - not repeated and blatant ones - but VAR errors drive me mad. I thought they’d got it right earlier in the season but recently there have been some terrible ones, usually involving handball.
