Not done any research on it but would be interesting to know how much that Bodo Glimt team cost that destroyed Celtic in Glasgow. Possibly a bad example but anyway...

When they got possession back from Celtic in front of their 18 yard line they were patient, players moved into positions in space so that the guy with ball always had the option to play it to an unmarked player. So often our player with the ball sends it towards a player with an opponent right on top of him. The result being hurried possession and we more often than not give it back. Once moving into the opponents third they knew how they were going to get their strikers in on the keeper.
(This was how McLeans cheaply assembled sides regularly took on more expensive sides and did well)

I suppose what I'm trying to say is that I hoped Courts would have us doing more of that by this time.

Also just going back to what Craigbrew said, surely we should be looking to our more technically gifted players to give us a midfield that does it? So that would mean Mochrie and Glass. The latter is in Ayrshire and Mochrie can't get a start. Get a harder player in beside them who can break up play and feed them and maybe....

As I said on a different thread McNulty can score but needs in on goal, Watt ditto.
Our midfield is beyond tragic and we won't be consistently good until it's sorted.
