Pundits justify their job by analysing faults in the system/formation when they’ve basically been reduced to an average Championship side this season. The system is irrelevant. The only fit players at the club just aren’t good enough.
True. The loss of a player as good as Kalvin Phillips alone would affect any team.

Leeds spent ages in the wilderness outside the Premier League and Bielsa ended that long exile and then led them easily to safety last season. This season they got some key injuries, took a few heavy beatings and the Leeds board lost their nerve. A classic case of 'What have you done for me lately?'

Bielsa won't be too bothered because he's already been there and done it all, but Leeds might have cause to reflect at some point on their lack of patience and loyalty.
