Afraid so...almost certainly. So disappointing...could have been 3-0 up at half time...but we were lucky not to concede five in the second half. Helps when you’ve got proper subs to bring on!
Sad about CKR...might be his ‘game over’ too.

It was game over a long time ago, as I posted then. It was clear that without the ability to strengthen in January we would run out of steam, in fact it was worse than that we lost players and gained none. Hopeless task, ah well hopefully we will still have a club, but now might be the time to incur that 15 pt deduction!!

Suspect you’re right, Swale, and have done for a while...and yet, at half time yesterday we were within two points of Reading and possible safety.
Unfortunately there were another 45 minutes to play and we all know what happened, including another crucial injury.

Looking at the weekend fixtures...we have to hope that Blackburn’s second half performance against us will reenergise them at Reading on Saturday and that our battered, injury hit heroes can come up with something against Coventry. The gap would then be back to three and no one gives up in those circumstances. Should it be defeat for us and victory for Reading then even the healthiest of optimists will have to admit defeat.

If there was ever a game of two halves....

Cudda/shudda been at least 2 up at HT. Loz must be kicking himself for aiming at the right hand post with the keeper in the way when the left was begging for the ball. Rav got one, shudda done better with the volley.

They made changes at HT and came out of the blocks on fire and for the opening 15 of the 2nd half we couldn't handle them. On 50 minutes I said we needed to change tack or get swamped. 3 and 9 minutes later I was proved correct. After the 2-1 we got back into the game somewhat but Kaz's injury put paid to any hopes of nicking a point. Down to 10 and chasing the game they got a 97th minute 3rd goal to seal it.

Loz got into an argument again. he'll never learn.

Rav had a hissy fit pushing their lad in the back, yellow was correct. The lad down holding his head? He got a yellow as well, also correct.

Ref didn't make any huge errors that cost us but he did let a lot of pushes and nudges from them go and only a few from us.

15 points from the last 8 games? Can we do the impossible? Based on the first half we can. Based on the 2nd half, we can't.....

Thats fine except, Barnsley are on form and have a game in hand, Reading will likely join us in the relegation zone and maybe thats fair, the two clubs that breached FFP rules go down.

Yes anything is possible, but the evidence suggests we are running out of steam and fit players. I haven't been able to see us escaping once we lost players and didn't gain any in January.

Not wanting to dishearten folk too much...... I reckon we need 5 wins from the last 8 games to stay up. As one of our home games is Fulham we probably need to win an away game at some point.....

Not saying we're going to do it. In fact I didn't say it. Simply that it is what we need to have a chance of avoiding the drop
