Only see Notts on TV now so this was the first match I've seen since Dagenham at home.

Players who caught the eye for better or worse:

Rawlo: solid and pleasingly aggressive. Unlucky to be overlooked for most of the season as he does give us something we are missing. Not as accomplished as Cameron bringing the ball out but no mug with the ball at his feet either.

DKE: as above really. To quote Stall we are too much of a nice team and a couple of battlers don't do any harm.

Arter: was looking forward to seeing him, but surprised he was a little bit less composed and set piece delivery was worse than I expected.

Ruben: I still think he's our best player by a country mile. All action display, you can tell he really cares.

Richardson: first time I've seen him and again I expected much better. Has obvious characteristics that we can exploit like pace and strength, but seems to struggle with composure and decision making. If we can simplify his role (exploit his pace the same way Forest do with Spence - channel balls and one-twos for him to run on to) he could be a massive asset.

Wootton: Sigh. We know by now he's not a natural born predator, works hard but misses a lot of chances etc, but games like today really bring that home. We basically won that match 2-1, except we didn't.

Style of play: exactly what people on here have been moaning about really - some lovely passing, some crap defending where it seems like a Friday training game after the manager has told them to hold back on the tackles.

I reckon we're still a good all-round striker and a couple more hairy-arsed battlers away from promotion.
