If all reports / rumours are to be believed and Icky is indeed waiting to go to Derby then football must be the only industry (or one of a very small amount) where someone turns down guaranteed work and payment in one place to chance going somewhere which may not exist in a month or so and / or doesn't pay it's staff.

    Bizarre.

I think the club have been patient enough with players offered new contracts, we have to look forward and build a squad that has a chance to stay up, if they want the money then buy and lets get new employees

Agreed. This is becoming more and more like the Warnock fiasco.

Doesn’t sit right with me. I thought they had to demonstrate proof of funding?

Going back to us, I would wager it’s all done and dusted, just hasn’t been announced.

Also interesting that he cites transferring money to the UK as the issue considering the $$ is about at the lowest it's been in the past 6 months so he'd need around 10% less than he would have done a while back. Maybe the recent stock market jitters over inflation is impacting his 'worth'.

ELK's health is on the line!

Just the start of a massive spending spree once the new owners are in place.

How much will they spend on transfers? £12m? More? They have no debt so can I think go £35m above the fair play abuse line.
They'll certainly be able to sell their advertising at twice the price of ours, sell twice the amount of season tickets and add loads more corporate events.

Let the circus big in! Don't be surprised by anything they do or who they bid for!
Could be Ihiekwe thinks he's not good enough for the championship, so playing in league one is his standard, or perhaps
got fed up of playing for a yo-yo club, a season on a wage rise in the championship with the Millers, season after a wage
    cut on league one wages.

Or it could be that Derby have offered him loads more than we can pay even though they haven't got a pot to p*ss in 🤔
