Maybe the real ‘shame’ is the fact that our government is seeking to illegally transport people to a country it described less than 18 months ago as needing to, ‘conduct transparent, credible and independent investigations into allegations of extrajudicial killing, deaths in custody, enforced disappearance and torture.

Our government also identified the need for the Rwandan authorities to, ‘screen, identify and support victims including those held in Government transit centres’.

Now remind me...who lost his second ‘ethics advisor’ earlier today.

Mind you rA there is a view that they squandered £500k of tax payers money (you know those Tories famous for sound financial management) on a flight that was never going anywhere and £1.6 million on a scheme that sounds great but again is not going to happen, simply to distract attention and get their supporters and media drones frothing at the mouth in righteous indignation!

If ever there was an example of the ****wits that back Brexit and this bunch of incompetents who compose what is laughingly called a government, its this frothing at the mouth about the role of the ECHR in stopping the inhumane deportation of refugees to Rwanda.

Just for the record, the ECHR has nothing to do with the EU!

The UK was one of the founders, with Churchill being a strong supporter.

I don't recall that Brexit was about breaking international law or not observing human rights, or would vote leave not put on the side of the bus, vote for Brexit and a fascist dictatorship that can target anybody we happen not to like or who disagrees with us at any one moment in time.

Who in their right minds would pay tens of thousands to some scally for a 22 mile trip on a rubber dinghy that might sink halfway and they'd probably drown when the gold at the end of the rainbow is a one way flight to Rwanda?

What gets me is how do they escape undetected? I mean they operate in France, Italy etc. where the Police aren't actually shy from taking action, especially if your a football supporter!

Yes I can see it would take resources to do this, but if the French and UK governments really wanted to, the cost of proper enforcement and smashing the trafficking gangs would be much less than the cost of dealing with the illegals.

The same is true if they set up a legal route, with processing on French soil, which the French have offered, but it doesn't suit this shower of ****e to be seen to be cooperating with the French even though this makes sense and treating refugees humanely, processing claims fairly and then sending those back that don't qualify would mean doing the job properly not engaging in culture wars to excite the base instincts of people like Thicky!!

Interesting that you use the last example of England being successfully invaded as your ‘model’ and and that you regard migrants as ‘invaders’.
Not sure how we’re losing our country but I am sure how our country has lost much of the respect we could once count on.
