    It’s an interesting tournament, but at best on par with men’s lower league football.

    No problem with that and entertaining in its own right but there seems to be a definite “you WILL like this” streak running through it.

    If it’s good enough it will find its own way to success, manipulating it to press some social or equality stance is doing it no favours.

    There was no way ground was more than half filled. I guessed it would be 4.5k, but official attendance given as 8173, which is ~2/3rds of ground capacity of 12,021.

    Italy vs France was 8541, but there was a lot more empty seats tonight than the numbers show.
