I'd settle for creeping up the table year on year. That would at least hold out the possibility that sooner or later we would inevitably get where we wanna be. It seems to me, we're just not making any progress, in fact, we seem to be doing exactly the opposite. I honestly don't give 2 fergs who the owners are, what playing style they favour, recruitment policy, or any of that malarky. Winning enough matches to get us out of this God forsaken League is all I want.

We all want that Gumpy, even the owners Although there is a caveat to that statement. I don't want short term gain (promotion) at all costs for long term pain (by criminally overspending, unintentionally cheating?)

I've not dropped to that level yet.

In simplistic terms we are indeed creeping downwards on the very short sample we are basing it on, really really slowly regressing in the league

    Spot on.

I miss the days of having 3 managers and 30+ players a season they were great days.

I mean that method didnt put us here in the first place.

Bloody Danes what do they know about English footy much better getting a Brit named Ray/Alan that will sort us out.

CG if all you want is us winning enough matches to get us out of this god forsaken league, why don't you just wait till we are not in a position to do that to spew your negativity all over the place. You obviously do care about the style we play or you wouldn't batter on about tippy f**king tappy.

Wanting promotion for the club you've supported all your adult life is being negative? Err, OK..

I like the owners, the recruitment now is better and this method has worked for others. They won't bring in a proven manager as they would want more involvement in running the club, the owners don't want that, they want coaches to improve what they've got. Nothing against them at all but by the end of this season I would like to have seen we've challenged for the top spot.

You should know the new rules on here by now gumpy, happy clappers and positive vibes only. Any hint of negativity will be ridiculed.

If we all wish really, really hard for promotion I'm sure it will happen.

Really can't see why all the negativity. Of course there are real intentions to get out of this league.

Looking forward to tomorrow, and whatever the score, as long as we give it a real go, that will be ok.
Giving it a real go and losing isn't ok , it's losing to your promotion rivals and 5 pts from 12. Why on earth are you happy to shrug off a defeat to Chesterfield as just one of those things.
We're turning into the boiled frogs of non league, accepting our fate meekly without realising what's happening.

Managers take you up, if that wasn't the case you could pull random names out the hat. Dave Challinor isn't randomly successful, he succeeded at Colwyn Bay then Fylde, then Hartlepool then Stockport. John Askey, Paul Cook and yes, Neal Ardley consistently get teams to do well. There's nothing random about it, some know how to do it the rest fall by the wayside.
The owners are spending a small fortune, they're certainly not breaking even so I don't understand why they're skimping on the most important employee at the club.
Having said that, Luke Williams is the manager and I hope he takes us up and gets a fair crack at it now he's here.

Brilliant 😂😂, I’ve said before if we had these guys had come in when we were L2 or L1 I would put my house on us not being in this league now. Facts are one promo place, at a level now where players are naturally inconsistent and we’ve just got to plug away and try and find a winning formula. Wrexham have what u may call an experienced previously successful manager, spent a fortune and nose dived last season and had a bad start this season.
