There is plenty to like about Vincent but I have a biased view from away games where he contributed with others to the midfielders overall issue of lack of strength, physicality and being able to stick your foot in. Which stuck out like a sore thumb too many times.

My problem was on the other side of the game when we had the ball he wasn't as good and effective as a Roberts, Ruben or Palmer.

Home grown youngsters aside, I'm struggling to think of a Notts player who's been loaned out, then returned refreshed and rev!t@lised to become a regular. Being loaned out always seems to be a prelude to either a permanent move to the club he's been loaned out to or moved elsewhere.

The fact that two different Notts Managers have selected other players ahead of Vincent suggests that he needs to improve his game at this time.
I take his move as a sign that a midfield signing (Loan/permanent) is imminent, which is part of managing the group.

Another poster commented on Luke Williams's interview style. He's currently making David Moyes during his Manchester United phase look like Mr Happy. I'm bailing out of the post-match interviews before the first minutes up!

I like him, but technically he struggles a bit, he’s a bit rushed and his touch can let him down but he’s got time to improve, attitude and personality is bang on and that goes a long way.

That's a good point. I'm struggling too to think of an example.

Who knows if he impresses and tears it up for the Shots then you never know he might come back into the fold. But I doubt it.

    I've just thought of one.
Don O'Riordan, joined Mansfield Town on loan 1989/90, the season before he became a cult hero and key member of the team that reached the top flight.
I've got all of the pre-match BBC Radio Nottingham build-up for the 1990 3rd tier play off final on a cassette tape and a fan is asked who are Notts most important players or something like that, the reply is "we need everybody" and then somebody says "We don't need Don O'Riordan though" His name would be booed when read out on the tannoy, then of course it all changed and we now have THAT goal to look back upon.

I’m hoping this is to clear the way for a new signing.
I like Vincent but I’ve seen him have as many bad games as good.
I would say the same about Francis but he’s had a very good preseason and seems to fit the system more.

As a few have said two managers havent taken to him but as we dont see him off the field its hard to say who is right/wrong at the moment.

Vincent might have asked to go to get game time which in my book is a good attitude as some players would be happy to sit around diing next to nothing.

I would hope we have one coming in who fits our style better.

    We'll find out next week.
