I don't see how it weakened us army, Wood had scored 3 goals in 17 games, Weghorst scored 2 goals in 17 games, we swopped like for like, one non-scoring striker for another non-scoring striker, and had £12 million pounds burning a hole in our pocket into the bargain. That money could have been used to strengthen the squad and help us stay up, but it wasn't, not Eddie's fault, he gifted us the money to use as we saw fit. Whatever the causes of our relegation, Eddie Howe wasn't one of them.
