A pathetic decision, made simply because we have to be seen to do "what's right". The final classic of the season, The St Leger at Doncaster tomorrow has been cancelled. Ridiculously, it's now being run the following day!!! So someone has decided it would be disrespectful to hold it on Saturday, but perfectly fine to run it 24 hours later. Perhaps the media should tell us to the nearest minute exactly how long we have to grieve for.

Might not be the last game this season to be cancelled for non-weather related issues if electricity rationing comes in. That has to be a very real prospect for places like Germany, Switzerland etc.

There was some talk of Early KO's (12am?) for L1,2 and the NL this winter as a leccy saver.

Further to that, the British Hoseracing Authority has issued a statement saying "The BHA has announced Saturday's racing in Britain will be cancelled as a mark of respect following the death of the Queen."

This was followed by “The return of racing on Sunday will see the running of the Cazoo St Leger, and will also provide an opportunity for the sport and its supporters to pay its respects to Her Majesty."

Respect clearly operates on a very tight timeline.
