Regarding Klopp, he knows if he asked the Liverpool fans to show respect at tonight's game, he would be out of a job.
I accept everyone is entitled to their opinion on the monarchy, but surely during a period of mourning, they could manage to keep those opinions to themselves.
There is a strong feeling on Merseyside for more than one reason, but I felt Klopp could have played it down it the middle, referred the fans to the Man City idiots spoiling the Hillsborough tribute and made it clear that they are all representing Liverpool FC blah blah blah.
From what was played, he didn't really do any of that and left the door open for them to do what they want without risking him condemning them for it.

I think we only have to look over to the USA to see that homelessness and poverty isn't eradicated by being a republic. Sweden and Holland both have royal families and are relatively egalitarian. So I think conflating the monarchy with people living on the streets is a very weak argument indeed, but it plays on emotions and whips up feeling to get people on your side.

Agree with Grantham on the censorship issue. The police claim it's inciting trouble but you could make that argument against the other side to justify slimming the whole thing down to a minimum to avoid rubbing people's faces in it who don't agree with it.
