Good job it was a tenner then… wasn’t it more expensive to watch the massive club over the Trent’s u10s in the summer?
Personally I couldn’t give a monkeys about a cup run… it’s like the FA trophy, where we don’t make decent money until either the final (FA trophy) or we play someone massive (local or prem side). We have lost fair n square, we move on, and Fridays game is far more important than today.
Clearly we haven’t set out to lose, but we have, fair play Coalville.
Anyone writing off our season, please take a look at how the massive Wrexham got on live in America… an extra game after putting out a strong side.

I think, people need to realise, regardless if you are a Swale or Laddo pink -spectacle brigade or what, this is a stinker of a result. Bros and Luke should be ashamed.

It is a stinker of a result but they shouldn't be ashamed - they shouldn't over react as they have all worked well together to make this a good season so far.

The bros have given us a team that is decent to watch and is first in the league.

Luke ditto, and if he isn't going to use his squad at home against a team from two divisions below then when is he going to use them? Although as Optipez and others said, he probably made a mistake playing one up front and giving them the initiative.

Today was a kick in the dick for all fans as we now have to watch the whole FA Cup unfold without us in it, and the club has lost either tens or hundreds of thousands of pounds depending on the draw, so there's no disguising the fact it was a bad day.

But we are top of the league and that is really the only thing that matters.

Lessons to be learned - yes. Ashamed - no.

Well said. Getting out of this league is the only thing that matters and yesterday’s result - bad as it was - should give the management/players more chance of doing that. Now let’s stick six past Maidstone on Friday night and move on.

I said it was an embarrassing horrible result Woody. I think people need to realise however embarrassing and awful to watch that it was one cup game with only 3 first teamers starting. LW took a clear calculated risk and the players he selected let him down.

As you know those first teamers are currently top of the league and have only lost one league game to date. It's certainly a reality check for all associated but needs to be put in perspective by the people who are continually all too quick to overreact when we don't win.

Although I disagree, if the Bros and Luke should indeed be ashamed of this this result, then they should also be very very proud of the league campaign to date. They can be both IMO.

Maybe a blessing in disguise....ship Fidel back to WBA and have another look round to cover the inevitable injury/booking scenario. Meantime I'm enjoying looking at "We are Premier League" position in the table.

    A Sadpie.

I don’t think they should be ashamed at all, the Bros are probably the best thing to happen to Notts in 30 odd years and LW also seems to be one of the best managers we’ve had in that time, both parties totally committed to making Notts a success. Basically it was too many changes to gel, weaker players and a youth team player slightly exposed by an experienced ex league player, though he played really well at times and it will be a good lesson going forward.
The positives is it shows we probably need to 2 or 3 players more if we want to win this league as it was all too obvious bar Austin no one currently is showing any proof they should be in the first team. That will ultimately cost us in either complacency from the first team or injuries/suspensions.

True and a half decent cup run might well help to finance......... hang on......

I don't know if anyone noticed, but the first thing Rawplug did in his PM interview was apologise.

A typical Notts County performance against a team they think they can put 50% effort into and still come away with a win. Seen it sooooooo many times before over the years!!

One thing for sure is is Langstaff or Scott get injured we need a reliable backup. Mitchell clearly isn't the man for the job and never will be. How LW can't see this is beyond me.
