One of the highlights of this game will be attack vs defence. You guys have been scoring for fun and we have the best defence in the division.

Clash of the top two in the current form (last 6) table.

We don't have a great record down there. On Notts' all-time away PPG table, Southend is sandwiched in-between Bolton and Manchester United.

4 straight wins for them without conceding. I've not predicted a loss for a long time, but I think it's coming this week. Losing 4 on the bounce at Eastleigh would be ridiculous so it will have to be tomorrow night. We still haven't won away on live tv since Martin Allen was in charge.

    Southend 2 Notts 1

I personally think you will be our toughest test for some time. A team in very good form who clearly have a very good defensive record.
Out of curiosity Roots, what has changed over the last few weeks?

Lots of good coaching and confidence have helped no end, but probably the arrival of Kacper Lopata from Sheffield Utd has been the game changing factor. We should have had no right to pick up such a talented youngster, but sometimes good things happen. He has been the driving force in the centre of our defence which has enabled the rest of the team to thrive. Rock solid defence and decent mids creates the spine from which we improved. We are still very much a work in progress, but if we keep on winning, who knows where it will lead.

You still under a transfer embargo? What's (was) the reason behind it?
