Aw come one, baiting Islay? Me?

I sincerely hope that type of thing never happens, a few weeks would be enough time for him to mess up the entire traffic sytem. He'd turn Kingsway into a car park but only have one exit on the entire road which would be onto Strathie Road and it would only be permissable to exit by turning right.

I would close Strathmartine Road south of the Kingsway as far as Park Road with access only for local residents and the 22 bus service which recently happened when Tayside Contracts carried out resurfacing work of Strathmartine Road between Kingsway Circus and Binstead Avenue.
On that occasion the 22 bus service was diverted.

By the way wasn't it water main replacement rather than re-surfacing?

It was carriageway resurfacing.
