Exactly, look at Wolves yesterday. Had a perfectly legitimate goal chalked off because they didn't have a camera angle to show the linesman was wrong, so what is the point of VAR? If it can't stop clear and obvious errors, what is it doing?

Hate VAR, but I don't see the issue between some ties having it and some ties not.

With no VAR you could have one ref who will give the goal and one ref who won't, so you could say it's unfair unless every game has the same ref.

Same if you have VAR at every tie, one round they'll interfere in an incident and get criticized for doing so, the next round they'll back off and leave the same incident to the ref.

That's why it's a waste of time and only adds another layer of interpretation that leads to more frustration, arguments and complaints. It certainly hasn't improved the game overall, if anything it's made things worse.

We dont know it was a perfectly good goal though as that Wolves player was ahead of the ball when headed back out wide.

Im going to take the lino view over some dodgy camara angle he was bang in line too.

Now the Salah goal isnt offside in the rules but it should be imo as defender has to play that ball.

The point of VAR is to be definitive. If they can't prove one way or the other due to lack of angles, it's a farce and should not have been used. That was the point being made. The linesman has a split second and in most cases his view obscured

I agree VAR is a shambles and in some cases it not work nothing is 100%.

It works well in cricket/rugby but they still have the odd issue.

Just be glad we dont have it !!

Sheffield Wednesday v Newcastle was a far better and more exciting spectacle without VAR ruining it

Watching Southampton v AbudabiCity, and the commentator has just said “There’s no VAR here tonight”.
    It’s a Premier league ground……
    So why not?
