You could have meant the Scottish border.

There is no international Scottish border, same as there's no international English, Northern Irish or Welsh borders - it's all UK border.

You never said International Scottish border, you simply said "the border" that's why I asked.

The pro independence supporters want an independent Scotland to rejoin the EU which will mean a ‘hard border’ between Scotland and England.
In reality this means that a huge wall will have to be constructed along the line of the current border between Scotland and England.

You can’t rejoin something you weren’t a constituent part of.

The SNP politicians think that an independent Scotland can rejoin the EU as a new country. They will need to use the Greek Government’s creative accounting methods to get their budget deficit down to 3% of GDP to qualify to join the EU and the Euro. Joining the Euro is an ultimate requisite of joining the EU.
An independent Scotland would not be able to use all the EU opt outs obtained by Maggie Thatcher from the EU such as only 5% VAT charged on domestic electricity, gas and heating oil bills instead of the 20% VAT charged on electricity, gas and heating oil bills for businesses.
Then there is the other problem with changing the clocks which the EU Parliament voted in favour of on 19th December 2019 but they have yet to implement because as usual they did not do their homework before voting in favour of it.

You’re missing the salient point. Scotland was never a member. It was the UK.

They can’t ‘rejoin’ something they weren’t in.

Most of the shellfish caught in the waters off the West Coast of Scotland is exported to France and Spain.
The owner of the Tyndrum Inn previously told me that every week a juggernaut leaves Oban full of shellfish travelling to France and Spain.
All the shellfish caught in the waters around Islay and Kintyre is exported by juggernaut to Spain and France.
My wife complains bitterly about this as people in Scotland are left with the crap whilst all the top quality shellfish is exported to France and Spain.
However it backfired on these companies when the Covid lockdown took place as the ‘poor’ shellfish fisherman could not export their shellfish to France and Spain and they were ‘greetin’ about being hard up.
