Big ears made a big mistake invoking Godwin's Law. It just shows his own lack of imagination and historical ignorance as well as trivialising the horror of the nazis.

So what your saying is Gary can avoid paying his taxes depriving the Govt of money to fund policy. They then have to impose policies they can find and Gary who doesn’t want to pay his taxes thinks he can spout nonsense. Gary maybe if loudmouth celebs like you paid your fair share the Govt could impose all the pie in the sky nonsense you suggest.
I think most people agree (Tories apart) it was not a political statement but a humanitarian one. And this supposedly Tax avoidance is not a dispute about tax its about employment status. I suggest if someone post a link ..Read the fecking thing afore ye post it !! and I would direct that at the person who posted the link.

The employment status dispute will be about whether the tax payments of Gary will be correct. Given his history he’s probably evaded it. Gary let us know more of your policies the Govt should fund whilst you avoid your taxes

Exactly, then we agree its first and foremost a dispute about Employment status the tax situation is secondary. And the Government don't fund Lineker or anyone else its the other way around.

Why would the HMRC be interested in anything other than tax quote simply Lineker has simply used employment status to avoid tax. Where have I said the Govt fund Lineker ?

Do you think if he "paid [his] fair share the Govt [would] impose all the pie in the sky nonsense [he] suggest[s]"?

Do you his tax status is directly linked to free speech?

The Tories would like you to join one of their "Think tanks", if so.
    You could go very far.

We will never know as Linkekar is someone who simply avoids taxes isn’t he. Astounding that the lefties who all want the Govt to spend money don’t mind when one of them avoids tax.

Your not getting this at all are you. There needs to be a judgement on his employment status before the proper tax levy can be levelled. HMRC think he should pay Lineker and his advisers think he shouldn't. Why would anyone pay more tax than they need to ? Would you ? we are talking the difference of 5M here. There is absolutely no tax avoidance here but purely a dispute. Either way you and his detractors are playing diverting game the issue at hand is can Lineker comment on humanitarian issues as an employee of the BBC and whether there is a huge hypocrisy issue.

I don't want that government to spend my taxes.
    That's for another thread, however.

    Free speech is just that.
