There is absolutely no tax avoidance here but purely a dispute. Either way you and his detractors are playing diverting game the issue at hand is can Lineker comment on humanitarian issues as an employee of the BBC and whether there is a huge hypocrisy issue.
I’m sure Lineker and his advisors claimed there was no tax avoidance when he had to pay unpaid taxes the last time. So Lineker can comment on humanitarian issues but never does only refugees and govt policy. If Lineker wants to dish it out he can take it

Free speech the policy for the company that employs him is not to make political statements. He can’t hide behind free speech where the hypocrisy of his statement is shown to him.

In 1930s Germany how do you think Fascism and the Nazis came to power, What sort of language was used what sort of politics was being punted ? I'll tell you it was to stoke up resentment against refugees, human rights defenders and civil servants Jews, gypsies, Gays, Now you go back and read what Braverman and the Tories are saying today the language is almost identical. History proves the Germany nation did not challenge it and was swept along. Fu5k that !! Surely an edgy guy like yer sel must see the dangers.

Edit... whoever's tweet you've lifted here he's a bam inaw

He wasn't "representing the BBC" when making comments on his personal Twitter account.

Lots of MPs/MSPs spout an awful lot of shyte on their Twitter accounts but don't get held to account to this degree.

Feel free to criticise the smug arse but that's you and everyone else's right.
Don't conflate his job with his personal opinions.

Your right it was his personal account however if a teacher, police officer, firefighter and the likes would he held accountable for anything they post then so can Gary. Of course Gary won’t agree he will just think they should pay their taxes whilst he shouldn’t have to.

Anyone working in one of those professions would be entitled to criticise a government policy on their own Twitter account.
If they criticised their workplace that would almost certainly be an issue for their employer.
Your conflating the payment of taxes with free speech again.

We disagree about his stance but I'm fine with that as that's what free speech is about.

Now, when are we going to have a permanent manager in place?

Free speech the company policy is not to make political statements. He’s more than happy to accept the pay then he has to follow that policy.

Perhaps we could offer the managerial role to Gary we could probably entice him by telling him since Scotland has its own Govt we’re ab offshore heaven.

Ah humanitarian the new buzzword. You’ll have to give me the examples of the statements when the policy hasn’t been applied equally.
