Looking at options myself (being exiled over the border in Lincs!) on a slightly different route -
drive down to the big smoke and drive parking too - nothing paid for yet - we all know Notts don't we!

For me that would be down the A1 to the vicinity of High Barnet or Cockfosters underground
and using Just Park website. Coming down the M1 from Nott'm I suppose it'd be Edgware or Stanmore underground,
drive parking prices seem to be reasonable those areas. Prices around Wembley are high on Just Park - may be different on other sites.

Train fares on East Midlands are ridiculous, think their algorithms have sussed there might be a large movement
of people to west London from Nott'm that day - that's even if their trains are going to be running, they're still 'reviewing' according to their website.

How's this for an anomaly - Cheaterfield fans could get an EMR train (see proviso above) to London for £54. Some of these same trains stop
at Long Eaton and EM Parkway but if you were a Notts fan willing to get on that same train at LE or EMP you'd be paying £73.60!

Train fares desperately need simplifying. How nice it would be if there was a basic price per mile or similar. Oh and they also need to be about half what they are! When it is cheaper to go as the lone occupant of a full sized car it is abundantly clear that they're far too pricey.

Ain't that the case ! My eyes water when I come over and use the trains. We did buy my son an annual £30 discount card and he saved the cost in one trip.

There has been internet talk about arranging a bus (coach) out of Newark.

Bunch of *******s for organising another strike on a weekend when so many people needs to get somewhere. But I guess that's the point - inflict maximum pain in an attempt to make a point.

I was planning to bomb down to London from North Yorks on the East Coast Mainline and then back the same day. Now there's no simple way of making it a day trip, and I have plans the day before and after. Guess I'll have to watch it on TV. Cheers guys.

Remember when things just used to work?

All these posts on here and social media about how people are getting to Wembley are making me cringe….literally making me put my face in my palm and shake my head in disbelief. You can bet your bottom dollar that any opposition manager will be scouring these types of boards for exactly this type of thing.

This is Notts County, we have a million unimaginable ways to make ourselves suffer….these posts are just the latest in a long line.

How we laughed at the Forest fans for planning where they were going to sit at Wembley…..at least they were kind of already half way there!

Obviously this whole thread is based on a hypothetical scenario where we win the semi final. I don't think anyone believes it's nailed on. But given that we will be firm favourites to win a one-off match at home, there's a good chance this train strike will affect us. People need to plan now in the event that we do get through.

Hear hear TSHANO, I've read the same comments with the same tinge of embarrassment. I expected them but not so many. They speak like they have to cross the Andes unassisted.

It's Nottingham to north west London FFS in 2023. Maybe use a car, minibus,
    or a coach? Problem solved.

Very true, some will live further away, and some will live closer to Wembley. But I bet my bottom the vast majority doing the moaning do or are close by seeing all that talk of East Midlands trains.
